How many years have you played your instrument?
After 34 years I am still learning & enjoying it.
What’s your favorite song to play?
Margaritaville, because it is a good party song.
You can see the people start to sing-a-long and maybe even shake a
leg.
What’s your most memorable moment on stage?
The last night I had the privilege to share the stage with my
parents (Ron & Mary Lou Rode) and a very close friend, Rex Adams, &
my brother Doug. This was at the Delphos K of C Hall and it was the
last time we played together as a band because my parents & Rex
were retiring from the music business.
Who was your musical influence growing up?
Mom & Dad, REO Speedway, & Alabama
If you could learn to play another instrument, what would it be?
Acoustic Guitar
What is something people may not know about you?
I have had the privilege of sharing the stage with 16-20 different
musicians through out my drum playing days and all of these people
have impacted my life. (Thank-you to all of you.)
When music is a large part of your life, there are many times that
your family seem to get the short end of your time. I can't say
enough how much I appreciate Julie, Jordan & Josh’s understanding of
the time it takes. Their extra effort in the bookkeeping, helping
me with the setting up & tearing down the equipment, and their
overall support of something that I enjoy doing. Also a huge "THANK
YOU" to my parents Ron & Mary Lou for a great start to my music
career and all the support they continue to give me.
